Summer Intimation Sheet

A warm welcome is offered to all visitors worshipping with us on Summer Sundays.

On Sunday 3 July services will be held at Hobkirk at 9.30am and at Denholm at 11am and will be conducted by the Minister. At the service at Hobkirk there will be the Sacrament of Baptism.

The Marriage of Cicely Thorne and David Jeffrey takes place in Southdean Church on Friday 8 July.

On Sunday 10 July services will be held at Hobkirk at 9.30am and at Minto at 11am.

On Sunday 17 July services will be held at Hobkirk at 9.30am and at Bedrule at 11am

The Marriage of Jonathan Reddington and Rosie Carter takes place on 23 July, and the ceremony will be conducted by the Rev. Prof. Graeme Auld.

On Sunday 24 July services will be held Hobkirk at 9.30am and at Denholm at 11am, and both will be conducted by the Rev. Marion Dodd.

The Marriage of David Geil and Stella Macdonald takes place on Saturday 30 July in Denholm Church, and the ceremony will be conducted by the Rev. Marion Dodd.

On Sunday 31 July services will be held at Hobkirk at 9.30am and at Minto at 11am, and both will be conducted by Rev. Marion Dodd.

On Sunday 7 August services will be held at Bedrule at 9.30am and at Hobkirk at 11am and will be conducted by the Rev. Prof. Graeme Auld.

The Marriage of Kevin Oliver and Rebecca Feakins takes place on 13 August in Hobkirk Church

On Sunday 14 August services will be held at Denholm at 9.30 and at Hobkirk at 11am. At the service at Denholm there will be the Sacrament of Baptism.

A Special Open-Air Service will be held at the ruins of the Souden Kirk on Sunday 21 August at 2.30pm, and the service will be followed by Teas and an Exhibition in Southdean Village Hall. All welcome.

On Sunday 21 August services will be held at Minto at 9.30am and at Hobkirk at 11am

The Marriage of John Spiteri and Emma McLellan takes place on 27 August in Hobkirk Church

On Sunday 28 August services will be held at Bedrule at 9.30am and at Hobkirk at 11am. Following the service at Hobkirk the Church Barbecue will be held at Wauchope Farm, and all in the community are invited to attend.

This is the 200^th Anniversary of the death of Dr. John Leyden and to mark the occasion a special event will be held in Denholm Church and on Denholm Green on the evening of Sunday 28 August. An exhibition of Dr. Leyden’s life and work will be opened then and the Church will be open throughout the week until Sunday 4 September. Full details will be available on posters and all are welcome.

On Sunday 4 September there will be a United Church Service for both the Ruberslaw and the Hobkirk and Southdean congregation, and this will take place in Denholm Church at 10am. The theme of the Service will be the 200^th Anniversary of the death of Dr. John Leyden.
